I want to help people write better.
Improving your writing can help you be more creative, persuasive, compelling and - most importantly - confident. Words are how you make sense of your mind and the world around you, so it makes sense to learn how to use words well.
Rather than talking about writing, I believe in writing. That means that my students and I work with both real and invented briefs. You’ll get short, snappy tasks to help you improve your writing based on your goals, strengths and weaknesses. You’ll get feedback on these tasks, plus a review of one real-life example you’re working on (if applicable).
Choose from the following plans to suit your time, budget and goals. I highly recommend committing to a minimum of three months of coaching - but there’s no maximum. Remember that the coaching will only show results when you put in the hard yards: practice makes progress.
You can upgrade your plan at any time, or downgrade or cancel your plan from your Members Area. With any of these packages, additional reading, evaluations, and email exchanges extending past the agreed-upon time limits are available upon request and will be charged at my standard rate of $125/hour.
You're in it to win it. This intensive coaching is ideal for those who want to make rapid progress. Whether you're starting a new role, planning a career shift, or going freelance for the first time, you'll get the support, resources, and knowledge to become an effective, skilled, sought-after writer.
You're here to take writing seriously. This option is ideal for anyone who already writes but wants to take a structured and guided pathway towards mastering the craft. We'll work on both creative processes and crafting techniques to make your writing exceptional.
This is perfect for anyone who can dedicate plenty of time to writing but wants a bit of structure and accountability. It's ideal for self-starters or those who have undertaken writing courses in the past.
This is for writers who already have some experience and knowledge but want to take a pragmatic, structured approach to getting better. Rather than the nitty-gritty finer points, we'll primarily focus on being creative, persuasive, compelling and confident with language.

Why learn from me?
I have been writing professionally for over a decade.
My clients include Cloudy Bay Vineyards, Whittaker’s Chocolate, Meridian Energy and many other brands of different shapes and sizes. My work has appeared on billboards, chocolate wrappers, computer screens, magazine pages, tequila cans, walls and wine bottles.
But, while we’ve heard the old adage ‘those who can’t do, teach’, the truth is that not everyone who does a thing is very good at teaching it.
Fortunately, I have a knack and a Graduate Teaching Diploma from the University of Auckland. Plus, thanks to my experience in teaching teenagers, I am incredibly patient.
Now, I deliver carefully planned and targeted one-on-one coaching for anyone who wants to get better at writing.
